Meet the Founders

Prospera is led by business partners Sinead Byrne and John Bourke, supported by a team of seasoned C-Suite experts and an exceptional admin team. Together they provide practical, trusted support to startups and investors from idea through to scale.

Prospera is an active part of the European startup and angel investing ecosystem, including membership of EBAN (European Business Angels Network) and EBN (EU|BIC Innovation Community).

Sinead is an early-stage investing and entrepreneurial finance specialist who has worked at the intersection of startups, angel investors, and the wider ecosystem for many years. Her background spans venture capital, fund administration, and hands-on CFO/COO support, helping founders become investment-ready and guiding angels as they build thoughtful portfolios.

Prospera was born from Sinead's insight that too many great ideas struggle not because of a lack of potential, but because founders lack accessible, joined-up strategic and financial support at the earliest stages. She created Prospera to close this gap and to make early-stage investing more transparent, more collaborative, and far more effective for everyone involved.

John Bourke

Co-Founder

John brings extensive complementary expertise in leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration with growth-focused enterprises. He partners with founders and investors to synchronise vision, implementation, and team performance, enabling companies to expand in an organised and sustainable manner.

John's passion is clean/climate tech, specifically water-related start-ups.

At Prospera, John is dedicated to guiding leadership teams through periods of change, establishing robust operational systems, and translating strategic objectives into everyday practices. His position enhances Prospera's capacity to assist clients not only in finance and investment matters but also in developing the people, culture, and execution strategies essential for achieving long-term results.

John Bourke

Alongside Sinead and John is a trusted team of C-Suite experts – experienced CFOs, COOs, strategists, and specialist advisors, plug into startups and investor groups as needed. They bring board-level experience without the full-time overhead cost, giving founders access to senior expertise at critical moments in their funding journey.

How Prospera Came About

Prospera grew out of years of working closely with startups, business angels, and ecosystem partners, where Sinead and John repeatedly saw three recurring needs:

  • Founders needed clearer guidance on investment readiness
  • Angel investors needed more support and education
  • The ecosystem needed a way to connect in a more coordinated way

Prospera was created as a response: a space where entrepreneurs, investors, and the support ecosystem come together around aligned goals and shared standards. The focus is on practical tools, honest advice, and long-term relationships that help good companies get funded and grow on solid foundations.

The colours are inspired by the rowan tree, traditionally planted beside homes in Ireland as a protective force, symbolising care, guidance, and resilience.
